Like many students and young people, I found myself searching for ways to gain experience, develop my skills, meet professionals, and better understand the world of work. Along the way, I had the privilege of securing valuable work experience opportunities, attending professional events, and building meaningful connections with trainee solicitors, legal professionals, individuals working in finance, and ambitious students from a wide range of backgrounds.
What became clear to me was that access to opportunities often depends on access to information, networks, guidance, and support. Many talented individuals never realise their potential because they simply don't know where to start.
Some lack confidence. Some lack connections. Some don't have access to mentors. Some don't know how to write a strong application, prepare for an interview, or build a professional network. Yet the talent is there. The ambition is there. The potential is there. The opportunity is often what is missing.
That is why Gap & Grow was created.
